Wouldn't CCTV cameras be a quicker, cheaper option? You would have to go through an elaborate process with the Council to install booms, and permission would quite likely be refused, I think. If anyone out there knows more about the boom option (if it exists) perhaps they could contribute. I must say, stealing a windscreen takes the cake! Wheels, batteries, windscreeens, what next? Wouldn't be easier to steal the whole car. Of course, if more people were willing to do night patrols in a vehicle with ONW, that might have a deterrent effect . . . . But I don't want to sound like a stuck record.
