PLEASE BE AWARE OF THE FOLLOWING MODUS OPERANDI: I ATTENDED A SECTOR MEETING LAST NIGHT AT CLAREMONT POLICE STATION AND A WARNING HAS BEEN PUT OUT REGARDING THE MODUS OPERANDI OF 3 SUSPECTS THAT ARE TRAVELLING IN A VEHICLE CRUISING VARIOUS AREAS IN THE EARLY PART OF THE EVENING TARGETING ELDERLY PEOPLE WHEN THEY ARE ARRIVING AT HOME.TWO SUSPECTS WILL JUMP OUT OF THE VEHICLE AND APPROACH THE RESIDENT AND ROB THEM OF THEIR JEWELLERY, HANDBAG AND CELL PHONE.IN RECENT INCIDENTS THE SUSPECTS HAVE BEEN ARMED.THE DRIVER OF THE VEHICLE WILL BE PARKED / WAITING AROUND THE CORNER TO UPLIFT THEM. PLEASE TAKE EXTRA CAUTION ESPECIALLY WHEN ARRIVING AT HOME. Regards.
