Does this mean that by notifying the google group, someone will go and register it on the website or are we encouraging people to do it themselves. is ther a way of preventing duplication? Hi Natalie Thanks for trying it. As far as the date is concerned you just need to click on the icon next to it. For the map just hit geocode or click and drag the marker to the location. I hope this encourages people to report the crime. Even if the do not go to the police station, the police will be monitoring the reports and can follow up. I will also try and reinforce reporting to the police on the website. By mapping the crime we can see the trends. I have already reported/Captured your attempted break in in Alfred street on the 28th June. But can't change date and not sure how to mark a spot on the map. Will this info be fed to the SAPS- would help to determine all the unreported crime. Hope it does not encourage people to not report to SAPS, though. I used it now because I intended to report a car- break-in last week, but did not get to do it, so this helps to sooth my conscience.
