Good news! The police found my car in Hanover Park on the Saturday - near where the bag was thrown out of car containing my ID and drivers licence (thank God). Car was in a driveway, doors open music blaring suspects inside having a good old time smoking and drinking. Cops spotted car with new plates, nice long screws still sticking out of plates. The cops wanted to get the guys in the car, best way to link them to robbery - so they waited. In meantime Hanover Park cops were informed of stakeout, but they got so excited they came rushing to the scene sirens blaring this was when the suspects fled the scene.
Car retrieved in good condition, except for the one wheel which was damaged and replaced with spare. Car scattered with catnip which they had stolen from my lounge with TV, thinking they had scored big time with 2 bankies of dope. Perhaps they smoked it. Cops were great particularly Const. Luzipo and Insp. Nel. and Const Mandoi from Bellville South car impound (what a weird place). Insp. Nel personally brought me my ID and a lovely large hunting knife and tik pipe from the back of the car, just checking it was not mine. By the time I cancelled my dr, cr and dept store cards, robbers had already spent a few grand on each card..that's going to be fun to sort out. Thanks to everyone who helped me.
