Just to report that one of our guests' car windows was smashed yesterday afternoon (around 5pm) in Ivy Street. Phoned Sector 1 van and they were there within ten minutes and very pleasant and helpful. The baddies had left their "weapon" - a brick wrapped in a blue workman's overall jacket - under the car so we think we disturbed them as we came out with our guests. The police took away the "evidence". The baddies didn't get anything - there was nothing to steal. Luckily the children leaving our son's birthday party thought the police van and policemen were fascinating and so weren't too traumatised by the incident.
