In July this year I was mugged at gunpoint - literally a sparse few meters from the complex in which I live. The offender managed to get R60 ... there was much grovelling for my phone as it is my only link to the outside world. I was left with it. Fortunately this boy was just that; a boy and nervous.
Today 15th October 2009 and around 11h55 we heard sirens ... I have been informed that there was a gunpoint robbery of an elderly lady in one of the little roads just off Cole. Broad daylight. So they're brazen about it too. As I do walk around Obz (at least until the end of this month when I move) I feel it best to inform those who live here to please be vigilant - even when you think it might be safe.
