A beautiful sunny calm morning; children play gaily outside the Obs Junior School, residents open doors and windows are to let in the warm welcoming day...
Then just before 7am SMASH, BANG, CLATTER.. thieves kick the happy doors in at No.16 Milner Road, (my next door neighbour). By the time the sleepy occupants realise what's happening, the thieves have grabbed their bounty and climb the perimeter wall safe in the knowledge that the "Criminal Super Highway", ooops I mean the railway Line is there to facilitate their unhindered escape. So there we are then; the latest M.O. favoured by the criminals: "Smash and Grab", whether you're home or not, like Blitzkrieg ruthlessly effective - relying on the element of surprise and bucket loads of audacity. Oh how easy it is for them, safe in the knowledge that no security personnel are permitted to pursue them and the railways complete disinterest in "safety and security" is the perfect environment. Sorry residents of Lower Obz but you continue to be under siege........ --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "The Observatory Neighbourhood watch" group.
