The husband of one of our staff members was waiting in his car outside our gate and an armed man approached him and took the vehicle. The police were called and were in the vicinity and they managed to follow the car back to Nyanga. The suspect abandoned the car on foot and ran off into the shacks but the vehicle was recovered. Effective 1 November, all regular visitors to our premises will be issued with stickers and will wait inside the premises - this was long planned anyway - but it is worthwhile knowing that this kind of hijacking can happen if you are sitting waiting in a car with the engine running.
