Scott appears to be high crime street.
Operating in full view of passers-by: its possible they wear a disguises
like painters' clothing or pose as builders?

Subject: [obsnw] Housebreaking in Scott Road

There was a housebreaking at No. 68 Scott Road yesterday. The
intruders opened a sash window, forced back burglar bars and gained
entry - all in broad daylight and in full view of passers-by in the
street. Rather mysteriously, the alarm did not go off (although it did
when the police walked in). The police responded promptly to a
cellphone call to the Sector 1 vehicle and to a radio call, and were
on the scene in numbers within minutes, along with an ADT patrol
officer. Items stolen: a brand new Nikon camera, with camera bag and
lenses, a Kodak digital camera, two leather jackets, a Garmin GPS,
etc. Thanks to SAPS and Const. Ontong for their quick response.
Fortunately neighbours knew how to contact the homeowners.
