Last night, whilst out on a watch between 11h30 and 01h00, I saw a
white, slightly battered-looking taxi (driver and two others inside -
black folk I think) coming "down" Station Rd towards Lwr Main.
I called Vetus Schola because this vehicle then drove a pretty odd
route in Obs.....turning left into Lwr Main and then right, down Lwr
Scott, then right down to the railway line......after which it turned
right (direction Mowbray) and I lost it.
I told VS & SAPS (via 2-way radio) where it was until I lost it.
When the taxi was finally stopped at the bottom of Station Rd
(....Valkenberg / Hartleyvale intersection) by both the SAPS and VS
(after I had spent a fair while tailing it), the driver claimed that
he was just dropping off passengers.
Yeah....sure......
I was uneasy about this taxi and didn't believe their story for a
moment.

I managed to record the taxi's reg. no. (from its back plate) but
can't recall the number now unfortunately.

Perhaps it's a lead, perhaps it's not....
