Me too! I am starting to really enjoy Obs. I also feel less nervous about my
daughter walking down to the shops or going for a meal with friends. Thanks to
all of you. I knew we could do this and I am looking forward to the steady
improvement that we can anticipate because of the steps put in place by Brian
Amery and the Obs Cid team.

Warm regards to all.
Julia

I do agree with you - I have seen so much more security of all forms around,
and this is very comforting. Thank you to all concerned for getting "the show
on the road".

  Stay safe

I have just had a delightful short walk around Obs.

First I got a cell call about a trolley, laden with metal, heading down
Campbell. Vetus Schola replied to my radio in a flash and were on their way to
check it out.

Then, in quick succession, I met up with another Vetus schola foot patrol,
Sergeant Lazipo in his van and an ADT cyclist. Then one of our regular
loiterers complained to me that he had been moved on by our security. I think
this man is probably a “good guy”. However we will get him checked out by
social services and, as far as I am concerned, I would like him to pull his
weight by passing on information on drug dealers etc.

There seem to me to be many more happy, confident residents walking our
slightly cleaner streets than this time last year. Am I wrong?

    Take care,

    David
