Andrew, t's a nice try, but with zero members and counting, somehow I dont see that the new Lost Pet Group will be be very effective towards the aim of reducing non crime related chatter.
True, lost pet posts are kinda off-topic here and it's fair enough to find it somewhat irritating. But the reason pet owners post notices @ ONWG is because its the most populated online group of our community and they are desperate to find their pet! In this state of mind they wont really be concerned about a few pedant members who see red because of it. This is a serious Group, but I think having a fraction of off-topic 'chatter' isn't really going to diminish it's effectiveness. Quite possibly the opposite. I mean, helping each other out in any way we can, surely is not a bad thing. My vote is to keep tolerating some leeway. And anyway, to get help for finding a pet usually requires asking your 'neighbours to watch'.
