The managers of each portfolio of the cid are appointed through a democratic process to take decisions on behalf of the residents. The onus is on us to be as informed as possible. Being informed takes very little effort and not to be connected to the net in the 21st century is no excuse. We have to trust those taking decisions on our behalf. They have the interest of Observatory at heart and if you don't like their decisions volunteer your services next year. See what a difficult task it is and respect the community leaders who give so much of their valuable time to manage your neighbourhood. There are many portfolios from finding food and shelter for the homeless to security. The management team of the Obs cid and other Obs civic organisations is made up of dynamic professional men and women. They often have young families and their own businesses. They have made the decision that no man is an island and that cleaning up the neighbourhood will benefit not only their own families but those around them. I value their ability to juggle all their responsibilities and make timely decisions. I feel that the saying, give a busy person a job and it will be done well applies to them.
