Nelly has just told me that two young women (then staying in one of her lodges) were held up on the corner of Milton Rd / Wesley St last Wednesday night [20.1.2010] by two armed, coloured men at approx 10.30 pm.
The thugs had apparently been hiding behind a garden wall (...directly opposite the Methodist Church) in Milton Rd, and as the Swedish tourists walked up the road towards them they leapt over the wall and confronted them. I understand that these tourists were warned earlier (by Nelly) that if they went out at night they should go in a group and return 'home' in a group.
