This happened Friday night, Strubensroad (67). I want to send out a warning about a Peeping Tom. Friday night, between 11.30 and 12.00 our teenage daughter and her friend said goodbye to some friends who had been here for supper. They then went into her bedroom which faces the road, and she had not pulled down the blinds yet. The friend proceeded to change into PJ's and was sitting topless on the bed when her eye caught a man staring into the window (from behind the wall and electric fencing). She screamed and called us. I went out immediatly and found the guy, now standing at the wall more to the tennis field, still looking in, if at an angle. I could see that him standing there, not a bergie type. I spoke to him in a friendly voice ( because I wanted information) and said: Hello, how are you? He said: Hello (smiled!) I'm fine thank you. Me: So, what are you doing here? Him: Oh just taking a walk, I live down the road over there (pointing direction Tony). Me: Oh, have you been looking at the girls? Him: No, no, I 'm just walking here, and I couldn't watch them as the dogs next door bark like crazy (!!!!! The dogs were NOT barking, so he MUST have been here before). Me: Oh yes, those dogs are very vicious, and our one too (ridgeback), you better be careful they bite immediately. Him: Yes, yes, I know. Me: Ok, good bye then, don't look at our girls or the dog might get you. Him: ok, good bye and off he went.
I went inside, quite scared as I was quite sure that he is an experienced peeping Tom and dangerous. (my opinion). I called my husband, who had just gotten the story from the girls and said to him: Go after him and scare him, I think he will only get scared off by a male. So he went out, and as the peeper was walking slowly, caught up with him quickly. My husband said: Were you looking at my daughter through the window? He: no, no, I just walk here, Louis: Well next time you walk here you better walk on the other side of the road because I will be looking out for you. He: ok, ok, no problem, good bye At that point Vetus Schola the patrolling people came along, we stopped them and told them the story and they drove to the guy, he was now only at the end of the tennis court. We saw their lights flashing and them talking to him for a good 5 minutes. Of late, the dogs have been restless, and barking more and more in the later hours, not just when over people are walking their dogs past. I am sure that this guy is around more. DESCRIPTION: White male, maybe end 40's. early 50's. A surprised, wide-eyed expression on his face. He was wearing a small backpack . I have phoned Vetus Schola to ask about what the found out about the guy, they are going to get back to me. I told the police now, and they are going to keep an eye out and take note of this. If anyone has had a similar experience, please call police and Vetus and let them know.
