A copy of my letter to the vice chancellors office.
Dear Nico,
I notice a copy of the vice chancellors letter to all.
I honestly believe we need more visible security or policing in these
areas and in my opinion Mowbray too. I am pleased to read about your plan
of action in this
regard. I feel it needs to be a joint effort by every owner of
property, every business and institution. We need to make thugs feel
unwanted and unfortable in
our areas. They are far too comfortable and have excellent escape
routes onto N2 from Mowbray and OBS as well as taxis and railway stations.
These areas
need to be well policed /patrolled. This is where good back up
needs to be established and where they are apprehended on their journey out.
Is is sad that we need to go to this extent to protect ourselves,
but is clear that we cannot depend or wait on police.
So sad that yet another young life is lost and we all mourn this
loss, once again.

The news of yet another innocent life taken by thugs , fills me with sadness
and anger at the same time. However we need to take action and learn
from this incident once more...
