Hi there Theresa, what side of the tracks are you on in terms of the nanny network? I'm on the Hartleyvale side and I think most nannies know each other, but we could certainly make more of it.
We have taken precautions and our nanny can only walk around the 'hood and be in the park in a group. I agree that the Barrington St park is vulnerable. Brian or David: Could we organise an evening meeting in the community hall where the police address parents and other community members about preventative measures? I have also heard about child "ID kits" that various police stations have done campaigns on in the past, where parents are encouraged to create ID kits of their children including fingerprints and DNA samples.
