Dear Wiekus and Elizabeth, Lobbying for a police station begins at community level. May I suggest that the process is started at the OCA, OBF and ONW. This needs to be on their agenda's. It can then be carried forward to the CPF, who in turn should present it to Woodstock police management, who present it to the Provincial Commissioner. A strong case or argument needs to be presented to the PC, Mzwandile Petros. The squeaking wheel gets the grease. I agree, Wikus, that the Cape Flats have greater needs, not only for police stations, but for serious social intervention as well. If I had to argue the case for a police station in Observatory, i could bore you.
This is a community issue. I vote for a police station in Observatory is a good place to start. Brian.
