Two friends of mine (visiting from Sweden - one of whom is South African) pointed out a *parking assistant* operating in Station Rd, opposite the K/spar. This was last night at around 11 pm (that I was told about him). He was dressed in a red hoodie top with a blue jacket thingie (on top of a red jacket/hoodie) which had initials reading something like: F.C.R. or R.F.C. of iets.... Approximate age: 19. Coloured.
The two visitors (to S.A.) are staying in a house in Milton Rd (alongside the railway line). They also said that one night, when an alarm went off nearby at about 4 or 5 a.m., they went outside to see what was going on and said that this same *parking assistant* seemed to appear from nowhere, walking pretty fast, which had them both wonder whether he might have been involved in triggering the alarm (?). They have also seen him "emerging from between parked cars (late one night) in Cambridge Street (....around the corner from Milton)". They both feel this chap is "trouble" and say that he leaves them feeling "very uneasy". I mentioned this to VS last night and they said they knew of this chap - whom they named "Wannie" or some such name - but said it was proving impossible to remove him from the area. Each time he is ushered out, he apparently reappears quite quickly. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "The Observatory Neighbourhood watch" group.
