I have noted over the last couple of weeks on walking down to the Parish Church of St Michael and All Angels, in St. Michael's Road, that a new Take Away shop has opened called FIONA'S
What a lovely idea, and especially with the Telesales Company in the area, as well as getting the support of locals. Having said this I do object to the wheelie bin belonging to this take away being left in St Michael's road, after the shop has closed. During the day they can keep control of this bin and who rummages in it, BUT after hours this is not possible and the rummagers leave the unwanted paper - plastic bottles - used fomalite trays and the likes on the pavement, this blows all over and down the street towards the parish church. It is not only untidy and unhealthy, but a lot of the refuse is ending up in the storm water drains, this will lead to blockage and flooding. This also is not very good for visitors to the area, after seeing how clean OBS has become to then hit this street and see the filth. Last week I reprimanded a homeless individual rummaging through this bin. He stopped but left all the removed items around the bin and wandered off. ________________________________ Disclaimer http://www.shopriteholdings.co.za/pages/1019812640/disclaimer/E-mail-Disclaimer.asp -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "The Observatory Neighbourhood watch" group.
