If at any time you see any of the above mentioned persons roaming the streets, please do not hesitate to call Vetus Schola (0861838877)immediately so that we can assist the person out of the area. I believe eventually they will realize that OBS is not a option anymore and hopefully never return. Should we let the sector van of our area know that he's in the area when he is? Advice please? ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ ----- Original Message ----- From: David Raphael To: [email protected] Sent: Saturday, October 30, 2010 8:21 AM Subject: [obsnw] TatlerScammer back in RNW area News from neighbouring district Dear Residents I have received the following from a Langton Rd resident. The usual story is that he is collecting for the funeral of a Tatler delivery person who died in a fire. These scam artists move from area to area and it is up to us not to be gullible! They cannot be arrested for 'scamming", but CAN be asked to leave the area. Please call ADT and/or SAPS. We have not had 'the dead domestic worker" phonecalls for a while now, nor the Bandana Man, with his "I'm looking after the house down the road" stories! New residents: if you would like to know more about these scams, please email me. "Just a note that the Tatler scam is in the area again - I had someone at my gate yesterday claiming he was collecting for our Tatler delivery guy who had been killed in an accident. I called the sector van to follow him, but it might be worth alerting residents." regards Gill Lanham -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "The Observatory Neighbourhood watch" group.
