The car used in these incidents is thought to be a white golf GTI CA 534773 with 3 black occupants.
A resident of Wesley Street told me he had a visit from somebody of the same description on Tuesday using the same story to gain entry. The car the suspect left in was as above. Luckily the details were logged by Vetus Schola. If you have a visit from this suspect or spot the car please contact SAPS and Vetus Schola immediately. The same person had just turned up in Trill wanting to borrow an extension lead to cut down bushes at the end of the garden - medium/big, genial black guy, shaven or bald head, mid 40s, flabby and not threatening and seemingly not too bright and in the same bright green t-shirt and blue jeans! Now my wife has discovered her blue leather wallet is missing - luckily just a few rand in it! Vetus Schola are watching for him. Please keep an eye out for him. As you say, big, genial black guy. I would add shaven or bald head, mid 40s, flabby and not threatening and seemingly not too bright. At the time of his visit he was wearing a bright green tee-shirt. It is interesting that, in both cases, we let him in but he did not get away with anything and, as yet, we have not had an attempt at a break-in. In addition, so far, no one else reading this Google thread has reported a visit from him. I put a description on this site at the time. Big, genial black guy who said they were chopping trees for the people who live behind us. He got to come a bit into our house and then I can't remember exactly - I think we clicked that something wasn't right and kicked him out. Needless to say no one chopping trees anywhere - which we could easily have checked before letting him in/refusing to let him in. That's it with cons - they are seriously plausible... Like I said, I would NEVER let a stranger into the house - but I did.
