Hi I just posted a message to say how thankful I am about feeling more safe in Obs. I now need to report that my son was robbed of his Ipod onn his way from school by three school kids (that was in his pocket and not visible- in case someone pipes up to reprimand the irresponsible victim!). He resisted their requests to " given it to me" - and they dug into his pockets and made off with his Ipod- running up Strubens rd towards the taxi rank. The three wore navy blue blazers and a navy stripey ties ( diagonal whitish stripes). We drove around to spot them or identify the uniform and there are indications the kids were not from Obs Junior or from Thandokhulu, but more likely from SaltRiver High (Same uniform, and school was out at around the time to put them in the area). I spoke to the headmaster and he urged us to make a police report ( which I will do) he agreed to look to see if they can identify the kids on Monday, based on the info we gave them. Looks like we now need to patrol Strubens for rogue school kids! Thanks and regards Natalie Ps.
