I could kick myself for helping this young man. His name is Grant
Jooste, he lives on the street and he collects iron products to sell.
I have helped him before and last Monday let him wash my car again for
the second time in the property. It was a very busy day and I was
distracted with all that was going on in the NGO that I run. Grant was
the last to leave and he was left alone for a period while I was doing
something in one of the rooms with my worker. I paid him and he left
saying he was coming back with a trolly to fetch the wrought iron
things I gave him as well, he never came back. When I left to go home
I realized my R7,000 cell phone was gone. Thank God it was insured but
I will never carry it around with me again but put it in a little bag
around my neck, but please watch out for this young man in his early
twenties.
