Could you please post this reminder to all on the ONW Google Group? Be aware that as we enter into summer, people tend to open windows more, and leave them open even when they are at home. Over the weekend I almost became the victim of a “fishing expedition”.
** I live on Scott Rd. On Sunday 25 Sept around 2 pm a person tried to fish clothing through an open sash window on my property (facing the street) I am behind a high palisade fence. The perpetrator, a 30 something black guy was on my front stoep and as I came out the front door, he ran off. I called VS and gave them a description, they sent out a patrol car but saw no-one. I found a long wooden stick in my front garden - the evidence that he was trying to fish through the open window.**** ** ** I will not leave windows open during summer even when I am in another part of the house!**** ** ** Thanks**** ** ** J.
