Just prior to sending this email, SAPS made two arrests concerning drug
deals in Bowden Road, but have a look at this weekend's occurrences as noted
below:
Crime for the past weekend in Observatory...
There were no theft out of motor vehicle cases reported.
Whity and Cardo were arrested on Saturday night after they were caught
looking into vehicles at St Peters Square.
They were arrested for public nuisance and were locked up for the weekend.
Surprisingly, there were no theft out of mv's reported.
Abdul Majeso, also a well known car breaker and house breaker in
Observatory, was also arrested.
Then there was an attempted theft of mv case reported in Lower Main Rd
Observatory on the 30 th between 20:30 and 00:00.
Burglary residence also one case reported the night of the 30th, in which a
laptop was stolen.
Robbery common, occurred cnr of Rochester and Main Rd where a unknown male
robbed the complainant of his cell phone at 17:00 on the 1st of this month.
So for the weekend the crime looked good, thanx to everyone assisting in
bringing down the crime.

Fairly usual roadblocks were also set up, again this weekend in Observatory,
which was not too bad, one drunk driver arrested, surprisingly for a change
- driver's licences are being produced, and went off well.
Premier Security also notified me that their vehicle also scouted the
hotspot area around James, Oxford and Lower Main over the weekend.
The Vetus Schola 24/7 armed response vehicle also made its last turn on
Observatory on Friday night, but for the last time, and the ONW patrollers
were able to say farewell - especially to Gerhard Nortjee, who supported the
ONW so well when on his turn of duty.
Undercover SAPS and regular SAPS vehicles have been doing their rounds in
Obs and other areas by day and at night and are having good effects.

*'Well done to SAPS - Vetus Schola Security & Premier Security"*
