Hi Justin I am indeed sad to read your email. There was an attempt in Milton road last night, then a laptop stolen form Oak street and now your report. I have posted this to our Woodstock SAPS manager, and he thinks he knows who is behind this. I will also post it to the Vetus Schola & Premier securities as well as our ONW Google site. Sadly to say when I came back to my room at no. 27 Oxford road I found my laptop bag next to the window with nothing inside. I am quite blown away as to how they achieved this burglary. A small piece of glass was broken from the outside so that the brass locked window could be opened. Then to have even have known that my laptop was sitting in it's case under my desk, barely visible through the blinds is quite impressive. They must used some type of pole and hook to retrieve the case and pull it up to the window sill where they proceeded to remove the laptop out and squeeze it out through the burglar bars on its side. I am bowled over. My housemates that were here while I was away didn't hear anything so it is likely that this happened over the weekend when they were out of the house. If anyone knows anything related to who this thief might be that would be great. I only know that I am sure he is not Malawian! Thanks for all your work with helping make obs a safer place!
