I arrived home on Friday to a gaping hole in my gate where there was
once a lovely brass letterbox flap. As I've had the pleasure of having
a letterbox flap stolen before, this one was screwed onto the back of
a wooden block which was bolted through the gate with 4 long bolts
with 2 nylock nuts on each bolt. The flap was removed by attacking the
wooden block until it broke - meaning that some tools were brought
around for the purpose, and it must have taken quite awhile. Seems
absolutely nothing is sacred!
