Yesterday was also refuse collection day in Oxford Rd and I wonder if this theft was planned for that day. Standing on a bin would have made getting over the fence easier. I find it so annoying that the homeless people going through the rubbish make SUCH a mess and don't clean up. I always speak nicely and respectfully to them and ask them PLEASE to NOT tear, tip and take the refuse bags, but rather look carefully and neatly. I like to keep my bin clean and always use bags, but often, after collection, I have to rinse out my bin as there are remnants of such a mess in there, I'm sure from refuse from other bins being added to mine. I feel sorry for the people living on the corner of Oxford and Bowden, as the bins are often collectively placed there and there is much spewing and rummaging with a terrible surrounding mess made, which someone else has to clean up. I would be much more sympathetic to the vagrants if they would learn to clean up the mess they make. I would also like to see Vetus Schola patrol more on refuse collection days. I have reported this incident of tap theft to them. Frank, please can you record it for stats.
