James,
Very well said - both you and Teun! With respect, your friend, David David Raphael 072 065 7223 _____ From: James Cowley [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: 01 December 2011 02:02 To: Teun Baartman; [email protected]; [email protected]; [email protected]; [email protected]; [email protected]; [email protected]; Brett Herron; Brian Amery; [email protected]; [email protected]; [email protected]; [email protected]; [email protected]; [email protected]; [email protected]; [email protected]; [email protected]; [email protected]; [email protected]; [email protected]; [email protected]; [email protected]; [email protected]; [email protected]; [email protected]; [email protected]; [email protected]; [email protected]; [email protected]; [email protected]; David Pettit; Mark Hamilton; Blaine; Dr R Lalu; Anthony Subject: Re: THE WILD GOOSE OBSERVATORY Dear All I, am much committed to try to attend to all that is wrong within the liquor trade in my suburb of Observatory and the wider Woodstock Precinct. In reading the emails I seem to find there are many of you that appear to have the same mind and gusto to do something about it. As such I would rather have partners in this cause than enemies and need therefore to rub shoulders with the resident and the business owner alike. A difficult matter though, to find harmony between business and a simple living space. But that is what needs to be done and therefore as the rookie Chair of the Woodstock CPF, I ask all your support in attending to the cards that are laid on the table. A prominent business owner said at public liquor meeting arranged by the Woodstock DPO on 18 February 2010, 'businesses are here to stay - if you don't like - it then just move on out'. So, for the sake of what is now termed as, rogue liquor establishment operating in Observatory, i.e. those business owners who do not even reside in Observatory, transgress so blatantly, openly and continuously, who bring about directly or indirectly the well dressed gent or eloquent female to urinate, cajole, vomit or curse, not inside the establishment, but outside, I now have to move on out, even though I was born here in Observatory. Let's stop the bus of discord and get onto the tram of hope where there is mutual respect and order. Not wanting to defend or reprimand anybody, as such I ask all to temper down, please don't shoot from the hip, and raise not poor targets. I kindly request all to extend the hand in your suburb, business or residence. The Woodstock CPF is there to mediate between the community and SAPS, also the business and resident. The Woodstock CPF, the various Civics, the CPF Sub Forums and the Woodstock PO are well at work to attend to all the liquor applications and issues that come along with it. Let's keep it neat and just, leave no victims behind except he who does not understand his own folly. Respectfully yours James Cowley 082 926 1220 021 448 2824 (t&f) Woodstock CPF: Chairman _____ No virus found in this message.
