The Observatory community has been more than generous in sponsoring Haven passports/funds for the homeless. The library currently has approx 30 passports in stock for which the Haven has been paid PLUS R1 490.00. I need suggestions as to how these funds can be best used. Obsid offered to take over the funds and receipt me for them but I don't want that as Obsid would then get credit for how they were used. The funds are from the *community *and they are the ones who should get the credit. We also have vouchers for SPM and Loaves and Fishes which we distribute when needed. Suggestions not only welcome but now essential! Rob - you especially may be able to give advice. On a lighter note, a gentleman came in a few days ago for a passport so that he could travel to the UK...........[?]
