Interesting What are the data retention policies as each car is checked - how long is that information stored for and who will control it and have access to it. There is huge potential for abuse and misuse - much more than for general video footage as a list of car regs, palces and times will be easily searchable.
I would consider a contribution of R850 once off iEVERYONE DID and we all know the chances of that happening. However if the OBSID wants to go this route as long as the necessary oversight procedures were put in place it could be useful. At leas this way the cameras will be actively used and not just a passive waste of time as the other cameras seem to be.
