Hi Eric I truly sympathise with you and all the hassles attached with reporting cases, Trev's email will suffice. However, I note the following, as on this ONW Google Forum, concerning your incident I comment to the wider Obs as well.
Crime Will Happen, due to the story of our pathetic lifestyle/s (my view, and will not elaborate). The amount of crime will increase unless someone does something about it. Weekly, daily, monthly the past three years, a few of us have been trying to fight back *pro-actively *by way of dealing with SAPS and all the issues we face, on so many fronts, the public out there should be ashamed for the lack of. We don't have to, we do it to make some difference to crime in Obs. If we as ONW did not do what we have done, our suburb would be in a mess. If SAPS did not do whatever they have done or whatever they got right, we would have been in a greater mess. IF OBSID did not put out what they have done for Obs, we will be drowning in crime. All we ask residents and business to do is *report*, take on the little hassle, *SAPS will come out to you*, a half hour, detectives will try and do their best, I know there are disappointments, I can refer to many, but SAPS are there. But with us all *not doing* something in the right direction, *we are all basically doomed due to crime and apathy.* However, wishing you all, kind regards James *James Cowley* *082 926 1220* *021 448 2824 (t&f)* Observatory Neighborhood Watch: Chairman On 6 June 2012 11:40, Eric van der Walt <[email protected]> wrote: > Hi James, > > I know it's important to report this sort of thing, but I must also > confess to being overwhelmed by apathy -- it's hard to believe that the > police will ever win this fight and, to be honest, I don't have the time or > energy to deal with a trip to the station.
