Two sewerage drain covers, were stolen last week Tuesday from an alleyway along Scott Road, a day later a vehicle got stuck in one of the gaping holes. Exactly a week later Council replaced them and fitted two smart cast iron covers in place at 8 pm the evening, exactly 24 hrs later a first attempt was made to steal the covers again. Fortunately the resident heard voices at the back of her property in the alleyway, went and checked and found two males apparently preparing themselves to steal the two drain covers. When the resident asked the perps what they were up to, they grabbed their PRAM and marched off going up Scott Road towards Lytton Road. The situation was reported to me a few minutes later by phone, but the perps apparently could not be found by the OPS who were notified by 2 way radio to look for the Pram Perps. James
