Hi All The newly welded lock at the dog park is "kaput". A can of Q20 and 2 burly men wielded negative results. The double gates (council lock) are open and there is free access to all and sundry - and we all know what that means. (I am able to lock the double gates but am not prepared to cope with the abuse from the public for lack of access to the park)
What is the next step? Purchase another 6 keyed locks - with everyone having to obtain new keys? - and then shortly having to buy new keys should a "slam lock" be installed? My gut feeling is to have the slam lock - with some sort of guarantee. (ie. don't want a cheap item). Unfortunately. I have realised that most dog owners have "short arms and long pockets" so to get funds from them is impossible. To get even R5.00 from them for poo bags is impossible. Any suggestions or offers please? We cannot afford our park to be destroyed. It is essential for our community (and my efforts!!!).
