Apparently the electricity department has been to repair street light corner Oxford Rd and Darien Lane this morning.
However, in the previous 24 hours, a large drain cover was stolen, from directly under the street light that was out. There is now a gaping hole in the pavement in Oxford Rd, anyone walking at night could seriously injure themselves. My neighbour heard a scraping drain cover noise and a trolley during that time, but unfortunately did not look that way. One should always investigate when hearing suspicious noises!
