Thanks Rosemary - the lady that picked him up tried the mowbray vet and blue cross in Newlands but bothe were closed. I told her about the rosmead vet and she said she woudl take him there for checking - the problem may be solved as a result. If not she can;t keep him beyond one day and will have to find a temporary place for him while notices are put up to gumtree and other vets and the area in which he was found He is safe for the moment and the lady who has him does NOT want to take him to SPCA which will kill him should he not find a home or his owner. She will try and find a person to adopt if it comes to that.
