I am now retired and have noted the HUGE increase in cars parked all over the streets close to the Lion Match Factory. There is just no parking in lower main road, St Michaels road, Howe street.
To turn into Lower main road from St Michaels road is a nightmare. I go down to St Michael Church during the week and there is literally no parking - I have done circles of this block and still no parking. Anyone who lives in Obs knows that due to the narrow streets when you park on the street you need to park half on the pavement and half off, as this will then allow the cars to access the streets with ease. Something needs to be done about this problem. This has been created since Woolworths Financial services started their office in the Lion Match Factory. I heard at one stage that Woolworths were going to get their people to park elsewhere and they would shuttle the staff to the work place - but this has never happened. What is the OBSID doing about this problem.
