Has the ownership of the River club changed hands recently?

I am not sure why Johans post was rejected, I guess that we already have two
posts in this forum on this subject and it is been dealt with by the
authorities who will hopefully apply their minds. Johans post does highlight
the issue with a aerial diagram.

The issue for me here is not about protection of the wetlands, although a
serious issue in itself, its about traffic and dumping without the City's
consent.

Anything which affects the river and the ability to deal with storm water
affects observatory peak hour rush and flooding in our streets.

If the embankments of the canal are raised by the infilling which is what it
looks like has happened, and the soil/rubble is free to wash into the canal,
Liesbeeck parkway/Station rd intersection could flood, congestion will be
exacerbated and all of us will have problems getting in and out of our
suburb.

If someone is allowed to dump rubble in a wetland it becomes our problem in
the end.
