in 2008 there was a functioning architecture and heritage committee which 
was a sub-committee of the obs civic association.  bovain mcnab, who was 
also chair of the oca at the time, chaired the a & h comm and several 
architects sat on the comm to help with assessment of building plans and 
developments.  it also strove to build strong connections with the 
pertinent depts in council and aimed to preserve the architectural fabric 
of old obs.

as far as i know, it no longer exists/meets.
