This what I posted a number of years ago: Those who have suffered this inconvenience know that it is quite a procedure to get a replacement bin ALSO - please try and put your bin out for only the shortest possible time necessary. Avoid putting your bin out the night before collection and bring it back in as soon as you can. Mark your bin with white paint, clearly stating your road and street number. If you see a bin in a road that it is not meant to be in, call the police or Ops. Also be aware that bins can be of great assistance to criminals wishing to climb over walls. BE AWARE! If your bin has been stolen, you need to report the matter to the police and get a docket number. They then give you a notification number and send a new bin to your house within 7-8 working days. If you want, you can also collect the bin from the depot in Beach Road, quoting your ref.
