This must have been a very traumatic experience. I want to suggest that the residents of this part of Obs - Crown Street, Strubens, Lower Wrensch, etc., should start communicating more effectively with one another about these incidents and how to respond. Obviously many people are not on this forum, and might never find out about the risk from crime at the moment. On the other hand, I know many people don't want to devote their time to meetings and so on. So as a starter, I suggest that we set up a Whatsapp group or something similar, so that it's easier to share information with one another. This was one of the suggestions that came up in the recent meeting to discuss the Obs Neighbourhood Watch. Is anyone keen to join or help to set something like this up?
My second suggestion would be that we encourage everyone to ask for meet-and-greets from security when they're getting home late - either from their private security provider or from the Obsid patrols. They've offered it as a free service.
