I am reminded of one of our Obs activists who once said of a hardened criminal of Mowbray/Observatory, who's teen son was all over Obs streets at night begging, drugging, stealing, sleeping, pimping, the list goes on, that when his father told you something that he was lying through his teeth.
Doing a bit of OCA canvassing this past week I signed up a club/pub/liquor licence owner as an OCA member and a business, however that may be right or wrong, but all has a place in Obs, we just need to learn how to work together or 'harness' the problem matter etc. The person noted to me of what a 'very very great impact the cameras have had so far which the OBSID had placed around the Trump Towers where his business is situated, as the Nigerians drug dealers are now much much less, and that OBSID should place another camera at Norwich Lwr Main corner as well". Someone else today quoted the same words to me - that he was probably lying through his teeth. Apparently now that the Nigerians drug dealers are moving out - will only time tell how drugs and crime will fare on "The Strip", or maybe find that the Obs dealers will have their own turf back again. I do wish the OBSID and all their endeavours well, not an easy job, but glad that the OBSID is here, as it would have been by far worse without. - success too for the OBSID November AGM.
