After a week-long coma following the attack on her in Trill Road, my mom emerged briefly. She can't talk yet, and is struggling to breathe, but she responded to questions with nods. The clearest sign so far that she is going to be allright is that she tried to smile (I think) when I told her that Colin was safely ensconced on her stoep. I felt like kissing Colin, but I quickly got over it. Thank you everybody for all your good wishes Barrie
