I'm pleased to report that the prosecutor advised us that Eric "the Conman" has been convicted of theft and sentenced to three years prison plus 18 month for a previous conviction.
Some of you may remember that many residents, including community activists, were conned by Eric to provide an extension cord or plug to cut back a tree or bushes for the neighbour. Cell phones, purses, cameras etc. got missing. Eric was active from 2008 and last arrested in December 2013, which was the only case for which he was charged despite that our community had provided Saps with a report detailing some 18 incidents.
