Hi All

Ricardo started coming to my house months ago collecting money for his
"outreach" programme, he must have stopped by at least 3 times over the period
of a month. He is a smooth talker and seemed sincere. I gave him old clothing
and didn't see him again for at least 5 months until this last Friday 27 March.
He stopped by to tell me that the names of all the people that had donated
clothing had gone into a hat and I had won a R5000 gift card from Cavendish.
His pastor would be round shortly to give me the prize. Needless to say, no
pastor come, but he did arrive later with another "volunteer" a lady, and she
needed the toilet very badly.

Sounds like I was very close to being scammed! Thank you for warning me and
making me more vigilant.

If you need another witness to strengthen the case please let me know.

Natalie

Yea sir, Recardo is the Recardo of the suspect released caught in the yard of a
resident in Polo Road on 3 January, photo attached, then released from an
incident on Robins Road a few mornings later, confirmed as the same person.

On Thursday a man conned his way into my home and stole a laptop and other
items from my home. Just past midnight on Friday morning, police officers who
took the statement, woke us up to come identify the suspect who was caught at
the same game in Arnold Street. He matches the description of our Domestic
Worker and I am sure its him. What wonderful work from Constable Thembe and
his partner! I will keep you posted. Perhaps there are other people on the
forum who would recognize him and add to the charges.
The incident took place on Park Villa at 11h55 on Thursday 26th. The guy used
my name to get into the house.. Probably got it off our mail. He said he was
asked to collect something then kept hanging up when my made called me and I
asked to speak to him. Really hope he gets put away for awhile. Image attached.

>From he ONW Red Sector Patrol Group:
Incidentally, the ONW carried out a patrol last night Friday 27 March 2015 from
9.30 pm by 6 patollers who split into two groups. At 22.30 the one group saw
someone being chased down Arnold and into Bishop and helped to block off the
suspect and immediately called the OPS Control Room to send a patrol vehicle to
contain the suspect. We then learnt that the suspect, identified himself as
Recardo, he then used a name of a one of the female residents, saying that he
knows her, and that he needed to use their toilet, he was then let into the
home. Apparently at exiting the house, the suspect grabbed a laptop and was
chased by one of the male residents and thus was caught and held by OPS until
SAPS was alerted. He subsequently whaled at not wanting to be arrested and had
a long sob story. We then told the foreign residents, that this was typically
his style and that he was released on a number of previous incidents by the
home owners when he was caught by them. We guided the residents to lay a
charge, when arrested, his fingerprints would be taken, and this could link him
hopefully to a spate of other burglaries in Observatory.James
