Hi Bryan - about 3 weeks ago you asked me whether locating the OPS mobile "horse box" to it's current spot in Trill Rd has made a difference.
The answer is a definite "Yes!". I also see the foot patrollers more often, as well as the patrol van and SAPS patrol vehicles, in the area. Response time by OPS to my SMS reports has also improved tremendously. The road is definitely quieter with regard to drug-related activity, and there is apparently less general riff-raff, all though there is a great need for residents to be on their guard for opportunistic criminals, who walk briskly down roads, scanning for opportunities to strike in a flash and be gone. Keep up the good work, residents, Orbis, SAPS & OBSID with thanks Stan van Rensburg 3 James Rd -- ---------------------------------------------------------------------- OPS [Obsid Public Safety] - 24/7 control room TEL: 021-447-1066 or 072-063-1653 ---------------------------------------------------------------------- EMERGENCIES: 10111 ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ONW email: [email protected] WEB: www.obswatch.org.za FACEBOOK: facebook.com/obswatch ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Other Useful Obs Numbers: obs.org.za/obsdir You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups The Observatory Neighbourhood watch group.
