Could it not perhaps be the incinerator at the hospital? When we stayed
near Main Road before, we used to get that smell at times.

there might be a crystal meth / tik lab at one of the properties
nearby?
I don't know what this stuff smells like, but I believe that some
of the
manufacturing ingredients are regular household cleaning chemicals.
