Hallo,

I think it is up to the owners of their pets to offer whatever reward they
think appropriate for the return of their lost pets. If pets are not kept
within the confines of an owners property and go wandering around the
neighbourhood unattended, as cats do, then one must expect them to go missing.

I don’t have pets, and am not a fan of the neighbourhood cat as a regular
visitor to my garden, killing birds etc. which I enjoy to watch.

I don’t really think OBSID resources are the right platform this type of issue
though, as their mandate is very specific to service a community as an
extension of City of Cape Town. I seriously doubt the City would entertain the
calls for a lost cat!

Suggest the networks all look at the amazing new platform OURHOOD go check it
out www.ourhood.co.za and sign up, you will have access to your entire hood, If
WE ALL join up. This is a perfect platform for community issues and engaging
on issues such as sharing events, lost pets, crime feedback and the like.

Regards,

BARBARA

Much as I fully appreciate the extreme angst owners feel when their beloved
ones go missing, I cannot agree with a financial reward for their return. This
promotes "pet theft". What about a bouquet of flowers? a box of chocolates?

A two year old female Tabby cat has gone missing from Oxford Road, Observatory

or location of the cat, please contact Gaby on 072 722 0607. A R1000 reward
will be given to anybody that could assist in the Tabby Cat's return.
