Also, please report any incident however small. Whether it is an
attempted break-in or just someone in your back yard that is
scared off by dogs etc. This information is important because:
- We (SAPS,OPS or ONW) canrespond to the incident or be on the
look out for the suspects in the area
- We can establish hotspots and incident patterns
- SAPS assigns resources based on the number of reported incidents.
- In many cases suspects arrested for minor trespassing are found
to be wanted for other more serious crimes and can be arrested.
- An unreported incident will very likely repeat itself a few
minutes later further down the road.
Ideally incidents should be reported to SAPS and OPS. SAPS will
send a vehicle out to you at an convenient time if you request it.
We need to catch these guys please.
